Capricorn Compatibility: Which Zodiac sign should you fall in love with?

Capricorn Compatibility

Belonging to the element Earth, Capricorn loves to have a routine in life, but can also be unpredictable (rarely and a delight to witness!). They like the position they hold in society that comes from their ownership of material things. They also like the intensity of physical nearness of their partner, but are not good at intimacy and emotions attached to it.

Ruled by Saturn, they do not trust anyone easily. They have very few friends, and with them the Capricorn is absolutely comfortable. People born under this sign have a tendency and need to test every person who comes into their life. The one who fares, wins their heart.

Capricorn (22nd December – 19th January) and Taurus (20th April – 20th May)

If there ever was a sensible and practical relationship possible, only a Capricorn and Taurus could have it. As both are Earth signs, their match is based on mutual understanding of priorities. Taurus is ruled by Venus, the goddess of love, and so it tends to romanticize the relationship, and can have trouble when Capricorn doesn’t reciprocate. The latter believes in doing things (Saturn is the God of Karma), rather than making foolish promises. Their energies balance out all the negativity. While Taurus can be a bit lazy for the disciplined Capricorn, the former can actually learn a lot from the latter.

Taurus is known for its bull-like determination, which the Goat admires, because it means a secured and devoted love match. Taurus can bring some fun into the otherwise boring routine of Capricorn, which keeps the relationship dynamic in place, and as good as new. Both like to plan ahead and this is where their minds meet. Capricorn’s main focus is always their career, while for Taurus love, family, and friendship hold more importance. When they come together, they both take care of their own priorities and hence are known as a perfect couple amongst their friends.

Capricorn (22nd December – 19th January) and Virgo (23rd August – 22nd September)

These two are very rational-headed, and so is their relationship. They have a very realistic approach to life and believe in working hard to achieve what they desire. Also, both love the finer things in life and never settle for anything mediocre. Their method of relaxation is also the same, and thus they get to spend more time with each other. Because of their similar views and opinions, they seldom have any differences.

Virgo is ruled by Mercury, and is an excellent communicator. Whatever is said by them, is met with thoughtful replies of Saturn-ruled Capricorn. Capricorn also has a knack for controlling a situation with precise methods and discipline. And as Virgo is quite the adaptable one, they do not have any problem working under their Capricorn partner as long as they have a significant role. When these two forge a bond based on pragmatism, it is indeed the best one.

Capricorn (22nd December – 19th January) and Scorpio (23rd October – 21st November)

Both of them are utterly cautious and take due measures before they get into something. They also prefer to be excellent at their careers, and the rest follows. They value material possessions. They both like the physical togetherness in a relationship. Their connection is more than that of love; it is made of friendship and loyalty. Scorpio is a Water sign, and can be a little too spontaneous for Capricorn’s tastes. The latter is more into logic and its partner bases most decisions on emotion. But when they put their minds together, they can come up with ideas that are the best of both.

Capricorn and Scorpio are not a sappy romantic pair, but an elegant one. They know which places are best in the city and what is in trend. They are known to be gracious hosts and charming company. Most of it can be attributed to their methods of planning, which they are really good at. They both complement each other perfectly. But sometimes, the overly-indulgent Scorpio may feel hurt due to its Capricorn partner’s distant behavior. And as soon as the water is under the bridge, they do not waste a single moment to enjoy their companionship.

Other Pairings (at own risk!!)

Capricorn also gets along well with people from the same zodiac, as well as with those who belong to Pisces. However, they have very less regard for Sagittarius and Gemini. Sagittarius is too whimsical, indecisive, and impulsive for a Capricorn to handle. Also, the former has a very king-size idea of love and romance, while Capricorn can go as far as one candle light dinner in, may be, six months. They both will have a constant conflict of their own personalities. So proceed with caution!

Gemini cannot stand the controlling nature of a Capricorn. The former is very outgoing and lively, while the latter likes everything to be disciplined. Gemini grabs the first chance to get something through a shorter road, while Capricorn is still busy planning. Opposites attract – is not a phrase one can use for these two.

I was introduced to the magical world of books by my parents. Foundation was laid on by Enid Blyton and I grew up surrounded by Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, Virginia Woolf and many other classic authors. Although I graduated in Tax Laws, writing has always been a passion. And I am the few lucky ones who have been successful in making their passion a career. Apart from reading and writing, I love food, cooking as well as eating. I spend my weekends looking for new places to enjoy delectable delicacies. I also like to take up some DIY projects now and then. I live by the mantra, “everything can be solved by a notebook, a pen and a cup of tea.” Twitter: @suebansbook
