Cancer Compatibility
With the ruler planet being Moon, the god of Emotions, Cancer cannot help being sensitive. They feel everything very deeply. That is the reason they do not trust people easily. And once they do, they are in it for the long haul and readily commit to their partner. They like to have a security blanket around that would ensure that the relationship is a success.

Cancer and Scorpio make a very yin-yang couple – one filling in for the other’s shortcomings. They both are Water signs and are very deep, each having a different and bolder personality inside a cocoon. And when they come together, they not only understand each other perfectly, but also help each other in mutual growth. Pisces is more of a freedom-loving person, while Cancer can be possessive at times. If they both can work out a plan to avoid suffocating each other, they will have absolutely no qualms between them. One talks, one listens, perfect setup!
There are two simple things that can solve all problems between a couple – care and communication. Cancer excels in taking care and loving its partner, and Virgo in proper communication. Also, while a Virgo loves to chat, a person from Cancer sign is a very good listener, and thus the relationship already has a strong and stable foundation. Cancer wavers a lot in decision making and also in behavior, but thanks to Virgo’s adaptable nature, their relationship doesn’t suffer from smaller hindrances. They both love the comfort brought on by hard work, and have morals and principles that they adhere to strictly.

Virgo is an observer, and has a habit of pointing out the good, the bad and the ugly! This might not take well with Cancer’s sensitive nature. They can only find a middle ground if Cancer understands that Virgo is only trying to make them better. Also, Virgo needs to understand that talking to Cancer requires a softer tone than otherwise necessary. The intimacy and intensity that these two have and enjoy in their relationship is very rare and unique. Their compatibility is enough to make a few people utterly jealous and wanting to have the same thing!
Other Pairings (At their own risk!)
A relationship between Cancer and Aquarius does not bode well for anyone. They are the opposites that better not attract each other. While Aquarius is spontaneous and adventurous, Cancer loves stability. Aquarius loves change; Cancer abhors it. The former is a free-soul, while the latter depends on their partner a lot. They hardly have anything in common to sustain a relationship of any kind.
Another sun sign that does not go well with Cancer is Libra. They might have a good start, but as time passes, they realize that they want separate things from the relationship. Libra seeks an intellectual and mental connection, while Cancer is looking for emotional fulfillment. They both want a harmonious existence, but Cancer’s indecisiveness and mood swings make it difficult for Libra to accept the partnership. At the most, these two can be friends, not the one you call at 3 am in the night, but the one who you generally meet in a group.
Cancer is somewhat compatible with Capricorn and Leo, and can be good friends with them. But a long-term committed relationship between them is not nearly possible. They do share some interests and characteristics, but their basic nature goes against them.
