Would You Choose Me, If You Got A Second Chance?

“I do believe in fate and destiny, but I also believe we are only fated to do the things that we’d choose anyway. And I’d choose you; in a hundred lifetimes, in a hundred worlds, in any version of reality, I’d find you and I’d choose you” ― Kiersten White

The moment I read this quote, there were thousands of questions that crossed my mind. There was plenty of noise and for a moment, our relationship started to flash in front of my wide opened eyes. We have been together through thick and thin and just like any other couple, we have fought numerous times as well. Plenty of times, we decided to call it off and our relationship has never been less than a roller-coaster ride.

This is exactly why I need some kind of assurance from you. If given a second chance, would you still choose me? Are you ready to give it another try and go back to square one?

Love comes in different forms to all of us. When I see you, I don’t have any regrets. I cherish each and every moment that I have spent with you, knowing I have lived a lifetime in itself by being with you. I would choose you a thousand times in the blink of an eye. But what about you?

Are you ready to experience that first kiss all over again? Do you think you can handle that 2 am fight that made you walk away from me? I can count the times you have touched my body and soul, and the way I have traversed every inch of you with my fingertips. Do you think anyone else can love you the way I did? Will you ever forget the fire that I ignited in you the moment I touched your lips? Can you find that kind of passion in someone else? Do you really think your soul can call someone else your home?

We had plenty of memories to last a lifetime, but there are certainly a few of them that are incomparable. It was mid July when I drove to the airport to pick you. You flew to a different city as you wanted some space and escaping the chaos that the two of us created seemed like a perfect idea. Though, the longer we stayed apart, the closer we got. The moment you saw me waiting, you ran towards me. We locked our lips together so flawlessly as if the maker himself would have cast the two of us from the same frame.

Everyone around us simply stayed there to gaze at the utter perfection. At that moment, we made a work of art with our love. Sadly, it was the same kind of love that made the two of us shed a thousand tears. We have broken each other’s heart way too many times. From those late night calls to the several “last kisses”, we have kept hurting each other in different ways.

I believe in destiny and the idea of soulmates, but I also believe in the power of getting a second chance as well. What you and I have, it is not an ordinary affair. We have a bag of different memories and the idea of giving it another try, a second chance – it is all up to you.
