Winter is harsh on both skin and hair, making them dry, rough, and dull. If you don’t take precautions to avoid it, it wreaks havoc on your skin. The sign of arrival of winter is dry and itchy skin, which has been sucked dry of all moisture by the cold air. To keep your skin soft and supple during winter, here are a few tips to help you out. These tips consist of six easy to make, completely natural homemade face packs that can completely change the way your skin looks and feels. Apart from using these face masks, make sure you cleanse and hydrate your skin well, to retain its glow.

Honey and milk are both great for the skin. While milk is a fantastic cleansing agent, honey is an excellent hydrating agent. Mix both of them and apply liberally over your face. Massage it in circles into your skin with your fingertips for about five minutes, and leave it on your skin for the next 20 minutes. You can wash it off with cold water. This face mask gives you glowing skin instantaneously. This facemask is quite mild, and hence can be used on a regular basis.

2. Egg White Mask

This face mask is fairly easy to make at home. All you need is an egg. Break the egg gently and separate the yolk from the white. Pour it into a bowl. Beat the white of the egg thoroughly to make it light and frothy. Now apply this foamy egg onto your face. Leave it on for some time. Wash off with a light face wash. It will make your skin softer and more radiant.

This mask can tighten your skin and make it look more toned and youthful. Apply this solution to your face generously and let it dry well before you wash it off. Vinegar is one of the best known natural skin toners.

Stop wasting money on expensive hydrating serums and creams, and give yourself a pampering facial using mayonnaise. All you need to do is spread a generous layer of mayonnaise on your face and leave it on for 20 minutes. Make sure you remove it from your skin by gently washing it away in light, circular motions. Pat your skin dry with a soft and clean towel and feel the softness!

Mustard can serve as a refreshing face mask. You can get readymade mustard in the market or you can make some paste at home yourself. Soak in some mustard seeds and then make a paste out of it. You can apply it on your skin and leave it on for some time. Some people may be allergic to the paste. Hence, it is advisable that you test a little bit of the paste on your skin before applying it on your face. If you are non-allergic, this paste can make your skin visibly lighter and softer.

6. Lemon Facial Mask
