Unwanted facial hair will no longer be a nightmare for you! Here are some of the reasons why some pretty faces among us have excess and unwanted facial hair:

1. Hormone imbalance (it’s definitely the most common reason!)

2. A bad reaction to medication (your hirsutism could be a side effect of certain medicines)

3. Presence of PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome)

4. Cushing’s syndrome

How to get rid of facial hair naturally

Cheer up, ladies! I’m not just going to tell you how to get rid of facial hair, but also how to rescue your beautiful face by using some very exciting and easy-peasy home remedies to remove facial hair. So, just check your kitchen supplies, and get started:

1. Start with a sugary delight

A yummy and heavenly ingredient, sugar can help you get that ‘sweet’ (hairless) face as well. Just take a tablespoon of sugar and honey and mix these well with a few lemon drops in a microwave-safe container. Microwave your mixture for about three minutes to let the sugar melt into a consistent paste and apply it on your face once it has cooled down, but is still a little warm. Cover the applied paste pressed with a cloth or a waxing strip, and then pull the unwanted growth out. You’ll have an instant solution!

2. The turmeric turn up

You will just need to grind some Indian nettle leaves into a smooth paste and mix it with a tablespoon of ground paste made from fresh turmeric root. Mix them well before applying it all over all the areas that have facial hair you wish to get rid of, and leave it there to rest for almost an hour. (You can probably take a nice and cozy nap in the meantime or even apply it before bedtime so that it can work wonders on your skin overnight). When you wash the dry paste off, you’ll see a fresh and pretty (hairless) face smiling back at you.

3. Fair face with fenugreek and green gram

A highly beneficial ingredient for your beauty and health routine, fenugreek also helps you get rid of your irritating facial hair. Just gather about two teaspoons full of fenugreek and green gram, and you’re good to go. To start, grind them into nice powders and mix them well with water to form a smooth, even paste. Apply this paste on your face and leave it until it completely dries up. Once it is dry, remove the paste along with the unwanted hair by using a soft cloth to gently rub everything off.

4. Peel it off with gelatin

All you need for this mask is a tablespoon of unflavored gelatin, some milk, some lime juice, and about 1-2 drops of lavender essential oil. Mix all the ingredients well and microwave the mixture for about 20 seconds. Apply it on your face in an even consistency and let it rest there for a couple of minutes (just never apply it near your brows). Remove the mask by peeling it off as soon as it dries up completely and you’ll find all your excess hair gone along with troublesome blackheads as well. It’s a win-win!

5. Scrub with the goodness of oatmeal

Start with some oatmeal, honey, and fresh lime juice. Grind the oatmeal into a powder and mix it nicely with honey and lemon juice to form a smooth paste. Apply this mixture on your face for about twenty minutes and start rubbing it gently in circular motions after that. Do this for five minutes on all the affected areas in the direction opposite to hair growth and wash it off with water after that.

6. Use those eggs

How to get rid of facial hair? Take just the white part of the egg and beat it nice and smooth with some sugar and corn flour. When you have an even mixture, apply it over all the unwanted hair on your face and let it rest there like a mask until it dries on your face. When the paste dries, it will form a lovely, thin mask, which will pull out unwanted hair with great ease. Just remember to keep your hands firm and the motion sharp so that all the hair comes out.

7. Scrub it with the goodness of apricot and honey

Super easily available, apricot and honey are not just sweet treats, but also amazing answers to how to get rid of facial hair as well. All you need to do is grind some dried apricots into a powder and mix it well with honey to create an even consistency. Apply this mix evenly on your face and let it rest there for about 5 to 10 minutes. Then, start with the circular motion scrubbing and go on for at least 15 to 20 minutes. Once you are done, give your face a wash with lukewarm water and you’ll have the hair-free skin you want.

8. Use the black cohosh root

A flowering plant containing phytoestrogen – an effective way to deal with the growth of unwanted hair – Black Cohosh can really help you. Just get about twenty grams of dried root of this plant and some honey. Heat some water in a pan with the root until it comes to a boil. Let it simmer for about thirty minutes and when the water reduces to a third of the original quantity, take it off the stove. Strain the water and let it cool down after adding some honey in it. A cup of this tea a day could give you positive results, but it’s always best to consult a specialist first.

9. A mask of healthy nourishment

All you need is some peeled and ready potato, soaked yellow lentils, some lemon juice, and some honey. Juice the fresh potato and mix it with the paste of lentils, lemon juice, and honey. When you have a smooth mixture, apply it on your face (on the affected areas) and let it rest there for about half an hour. When it dries on your face in a thin layer, you can take it off by rubbing it in the direction against the hair growth and you will be rid of that unwanted facial hair for good!

10. See the unwanted hair away with orange and lemon peel mask

Very nutritious and great cosmetic ingredients, orange and lemon peels give you many beauty benefits, and effective hair removal is one of them. Just grind the dried peels into a powder and mix them with oatmeal and almond powder by using olive oil and rosewater. Make a consistent paste and apply it on your face and leave it on for about ten minutes. Rub it in gently for 5 to 10 minutes and when you wash it off, your skin will be healthy and free of unwanted hair.

11. A different approach

You can use the anti-androgenic properties found in lavender and tea tree oil to get rid of unwanted hair. Just mix about 5-6 drops of tea tree oil with a teaspoon of lavender oil and apply it on your face on a regular basis. Doing this three times a day will yield results after just three months.
