14 Easy Healthy Snack Recipe For Those Unexpected Munchies!

  1. Stuffed dates

Another healthy, easy and customizable snack is stuffed dates. Dates are sticky, sweet and low on calories and very healthy and high on fiber and in general, the ideal snack food which you can amp up by stuffing with things. You need to wash the dates and remove the pits, after which you can add legit anything in them, such as almond butter and chocolate, nuts and coconut, cream cheese and fruits and anything else that you might fancy. It makes for a yummy, exciting and low-calorie snack.

  1. Chocolate Covered Bananas

If you are a snack person like I am, there are certain things that you must keep handy in your kitchen at all times, such as bananas. This wonderful fruit can be eaten as it is, but they also serve as a great base for dessert-like snacks which are low on calories but big on taste. Take a couple of bananas and either cut them in half or split them from the middle. Dip one side in dark chocolate that you have melted in the microwave and garnish with nuts, dry fruits, fruits or shaved coconut.

  1. Parmesan Roasted Tomatoes

Roasted tomatoes are a great meal accompaniment, but did you know that you could also make a great snack out of them? Slice a couple of tomatoes into discs and place them on an oven tray that has been brushed with oil. Sprinkle a little Parmesan on each slice, with a little pepper for flavor and roast them in the oven till the cheese has melted. You will have an awesome snack that you will frankly want to have for all your meals because it is so yummy, but also light on the stomach.

  1. Veggie fries

Potato fries can be hard on the body, although we wish we could have fries ever day. What if I told you you could, but without the guilt that comes with eating French fries? Vegetables like zucchini, parsnips, kale, carrots, etc. make for great fries, and they are super easy to make. You also don’t actually have to fry them, because you van bake them and get a super tasty snack out of it!

All you need to do is toss them in some salt, pepper, paprika, oil and garlic powder and arrange them on a baking tray and bake till they are cooked through. Use any dip of your choice to enjoy your guilt-free “fries” with!

  1. Yogurt covered berries

Berries are natural candy, which have just the right amount of carbs and fructose to give you the sweet dessert effect, without piling on the calories in your body. We all know the wonderful nutritional benefits of Greek yogurt, and so, when the two are put together, you have a sweet treat that is honestly super hard to resist. Take a berry of your choice and dip it in Greek yogurt. Freeze it for a couple of hours, and you have yourself the perfect snack!
