The marijuana tampon, called Forial Relief, is basically a vaginal suppository, which you’ll need to place inside your genitals along with the tampon. But why marijuana, you wonder? Well, because of its pain-relieving and muscle-relaxing properties, which are basically what the weed tampons do.
But how exactly does Foria Relief work? A capsule of Foria Relief marijuana tampon has only three ingredients – 10mg of CBD, 60mg of THC, and organic cocoa butter. CBD and THC are the two active cannabinoid compounds found in marijuana, which activate certain cannabinoid receptors in the pelvic region.
According to their website: “Foria Relief has been carefully crafted to maximize the muscle relaxing and pain relieving properties of cannabis without a psychotropic (high) effect. This plant medicine has a long cross-cultural history of use as a natural aid in easing symptoms associated with menstruation. Our intention is to share the powerful medicinal properties of this plant while utilizing modern extraction techniques to standardize purity and potency, thereby ensuring a safe and accessible experience for all women.”
Since one has to insert the marijuana capsule in their vaginas, they’re designed to release the medicinal properties as close to the site of pain and cramps as possible. Apart from pain relief, Foria Relief users also report that they’ve experienced relaxation, mood improvement, back pain relief, and reduced anxiety.
Mathew Gerson, founder of Foria Relief, said,
“The pelvic region contains more cannabinoid receptors than any other part of the body except for the brain. So delivering these actives in a suppository format is a natural choice.”
Priced at $44 for a four-pack of suppositories, the marijuana tampon can be bought only in California and Colorado. Another thing to note is that the marijuana will be present in your blood stream and urine in case you need to take a blood test.
This sounds like a rad product to me. Would you use these marijuana tampons? Tell us in the comments below.
